Fridays, New Jersey and winter. NOT a good combination this year. Last week we had 8 or more inches of snow, and I didn’t get out to work. Today, we had freezing rain.
Now usually, freezing rain in New Jersey freezes up your car windows, and leaves a frozen coating on the grass. Today was different. The ground and roads were so cold from the severe (for New Jersey) cold – some parts of Burlington County registered below 20 degrees this week- that the rain created a thick, and very slick, layer of ice on the roads. It took 45 minutes to travel 6 miles to the church office.
Can I just say, I’ve had enough winter!
