Oh my! The mystery woman! Ada Arnott Reinhard. That’s my father’s mother, and an enigma. Her birth parents sound Irish (Callahan and Larkin) but they died when she was very young, maybe 1 or 2? No one knows, I have found no mention, other than a handwritten note by a Catholic priest on Long Island that her birth parents were married before she was born. Odd statement. Now you make me more curious about her background..
I love the old family photos. It’s so interesting to see their expressions, what they were wearing, and their surroundings.
Thanks,. Some are mine, but others I found online at the Rutgers University Repository.
Hello Jackie,
This post is so beautiful and heartwarming. I love that you can relate to your family and found old photos. Your family is so cute 🙂
I am sure someone has said it to you: Have you seen that you look so much like your grandmother?
Uncanny resemblance!
Thanks for your visit to my blog and the nice discussion we had in commons.
Hope you are enjoying the weekend.
Anand 🙂
Okay, now I have to ask- which grandmother? I have always felt I looked like neither side, so curious as to what others see. Thanks.
The one in the picture above with grandfather I suppose 🙂 Welcome 🙂
