It’s Christmas Eve. We’ve been to a lovely and unusual service at church called Lessons in Carols. Steve is watching It’s a Wonderful Life. I’m winding down with a glass of egg nog, complete with fresh nutmeg on top, and getting ready to head to bed! Even our dog, Rusty, is sound asleep next to me on his blankets! It’s once again cold, but thankfully dry, here in New Jersey. No white Christmas this year, but that’s okay – we’ve had a few too many white days for so early in the season for my taste!
I just want to take this opportunity to wish everyone a most joyous and merry Christmas! My prayer is for each of you to come to experience the awesome gift that God has sent you – His one and only son, Jesus. Every other philosophy in the world has man trying to get to, to seek out, to find god. But only in the Christian view did God said that isn’t the way He wanted it! Instead, He is the one who, as pastor said tonight, made the journey. He left perfection, where He had everything, and came to us – for us! May He speak to your hearts throughout this holiday and through the year, and reveal Himself to you, and may you, too, receive the gift of Jesus’ redeeming love!
Blessings to you and your families, and once again, Merry Christmas!
